Oftentimes, though, Realtors get into the business without wanting to reach out to their friends and family because they don’t want them to feel obligated or awkward. This is where the term ‘secret agent’ in real estate comes from. You probably know other Realtors who’ve been in the business a long time and haven’t actually done a lot of business—these people are the secret agents.
