Here’s how to find the right power partners for your real estate business.
Being a real estate agent is a little like being the quarterback on a football team: You’re not necessarily running all of the plays, but you need to know what’s going on with all of your partners. Having a strong list of power partners is very important. So how do you get that strong list?
- Figure out who can make it a two-way street. You want to be thinking of who can send business to you as well. That might be in generating some leads or helping you pay for community events that help grow both of your businesses.
- Make sure they do a great job at a competitive rate. This is one of the biggest considerations. You don’t want to refer your clients to a bad inspector or contractor. Also make sure that they don’t cost too much. Unless they’re the best by far, you don’t want to send your clients to a pricey business.
“To have a strong list of partners is very, very important.”
- Interview the power partners. Make sure you sit down and interview your potential partners. You have to know that they do customer service at least as good if not better than you do.
- Make sure they do things similar to you. You want handing off clients to your partners to be as smooth as possible. Let your clients know that they can deal with the partner in the same way they deal with you, possibly bringing up online rates or other opportunities. You need to be sure that if a client can get along with you they can get along with your partners too.
I hope this helps you in finding and vetting power partners. If you ever have any questions about real estate that I can help you with, don’t hesitate to give me a call. I look forward to hearing from you.
