Here are a few ideas to open communication with your clients in 2021.
If you’re looking to jumpstart communication with your clients in 2021, here are three things you can do:
1. Send an email survey and then follow up. The survey can be really simple—just ask whether they plan on making any real estate changes in 2021. All they have to do is mark ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ It’s amazing how many folks will reach out to you and tell you they’re thinking about moving. This is all about establishing yourself as a real estate expert and being there for your clients.
“The better you know the client, the more likely they’ll be to refer you to someone.”
2. Ask over the phone: “Who do you know that is making a real estate move in 2021?” Promise them that you’ll make them look good in the eyes of anyone they send your way. If they can’t think of anyone, tell them that’s no problem and that you’re here for them no matter what. Again, this establishes you as an expert. When you ask someone for that referral and make sure they know you’ll make them look good for it, it removes any hesitation they may have of referring a friend, family member, neighbor, etc. The better you know the client, the more likely they’ll be to refer you to someone.
3. Send another email survey asking whether they’re interested in investing in real estate. You can follow up with everyone who clicks ‘yes.’ There are three types of investment options we present to anyone who’s interested: buying real estate as a hold, buying it as a flip, or investing with a group. If you’re like me, I’m sure you come across plenty of opportunities that are outside of your price range or the price ranges of other investors you know. When you gather a pool of investors and combine their money, though, it’s amazing how much it reinforces you as an expert. It also gives your clients an opportunity to invest in something where the barrier to entry might otherwise be out of their price point. They may not have $100,000 to put down for a rental property, but they may have $20,000, and putting that sum to work for the same purpose is an awesome opportunity.
As always, if you’d like to know more about this topic or have any questions I can answer, don’t hesitate to call or email me today. I’d love to speak with you.
