Here are some ideas for showing your clients that you appreciate them.
What do you do with your clients during the holidays? I’m a big believer in giving back and expressing gratitude, so today I wanted to share a few things we’ve done in the past to give you some ideas for how you can show that you’re thankful.
It can be as simple as a phone call or text message. We had a great response one year when we sent a “Jingle Jingle” text with all the team members’ faces as elves and such. Something small that makes them laugh can go a long way.
A pie giveaway has also worked very well. We went to every one of our clients who had bought, sold, invested, or referred someone to us. Even if that referral didn’t even make contact, we want to thank them for thinking of us. To get the pies, we just went to Costco or Sam’s Club and put in bulk orders.

For the ordering, it really helps if you send out an invite in advance and get people to RSVP; it’s surprising how many people will sign up for a free pie. You can even go a bit further and deliver the pies to everyone. It does take more time, but it gives you a chance to talk to them. If not, you can have everyone come to you to get their pies and turn it into an open house sort of event with wine and space to hang out. It’s also very easy to make these pick-ups COVID compliant.
I also really like doing fundraisers around the holidays. One of the last causes we supported was the Volunteers of America. At the time, our local chapter was putting together a house for single, veteran moms. It seemed like an amazing opportunity to both support that and host an event with our clients.
I hope this gave you some ideas for your own holiday events. If you want a few more examples or have any questions, feel free to comment, message, or call me. I’d love to hear from you.
